Jeep Rally A popular group event, our desert rallies have
been acclaimed by many visitors as one of the most interesting, exciting and memorable
highlights of their stay in Tucson. Here's how it works: groups are picked up at their
hotel. Each Jeep picks a Captain. Once the jeeps have gathered at the starting point deep
in the desert, the Captain opens a packet containing explicit instructions on which
direction to go, what to look for and what to record. Along the way, each Jeep
"team" may have to identify various desert plants, record the number of arms on
a particular Saguaro, or bring back pieces of Indian Pottery strategically placed for
them. Rally is not based on speed. Points are accumulated for following the directions and
deducted for driving too fast or too slow.

Western Bar-b-que After
experiencing the sights and sounds of the spectacular Sonoran desert, experience the
tastes of a Western Bar-b-que against the backdrop of an unbelievable Arizona sunset. Your
group can heighten their desert adventure with a full Western Bar-b-que meal, prepared and
served to you in the desert far from the traffic of the crowded city. Maybe a Western show
is just what you need to cap off this memorable group event.

Western Carnival Jeep Rally Combining the best of desert jeep adventure, historic fun with a test of your
teams skills playing some of the games of yesteryear. Jeeps will depart from your
destination hotel. Each jeep becomes a team and chooses a team captain. A fun desert
trivia quiz is given on the way to the trailhead and will be counted as part of the teams
overall score. On the way to the starting line, your guide will cover the flora, fauna,
geology and folklore of the desert. At the starting line each team
is given a packet of information which will guide them through the course. The team is
required to find strategically placed items, draw petroglyphs, record names of desert
plants and compete at the five different western carnival booths that are set up along the
rally course.
Each carnival booth is authentic in appearance, with old west backdrops,
hay bales, split rail fencing and historically dressed attendants.
Every member in the jeep will test their skill at each booth and will be
awarded colored tokens to be counted in their final score.
Once the team has finished the rally course, completed the games and
recorded everything required, the jeeps converge on the finish line for the closing
ceremonies and cold bubbling champagne toast.
Results of the WESTERN CARNIVAL JEEP RALLY are tabulated and available
approximately 1 hour after the rally.
The WESTERN CARNIVAL JEEP RALLY has been touted as the highlight of many
groups staying in Tucson.
